Punjab JET 2014 - Punjab State Board Joint Entrance Test 2014

The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh is conducting the Joint Entrance Test-2014 (JET-2014) for admission of students to various diploma courses in its affiliated colleges. The exam is taken by lakhs of students every year to gain admission to PSBTEIT affiliated colleges located in Chandigarh and Punjab. The admission to these colleges will be based on merit achieved in the entrance exam, and also the category wise rank. Reservation is according to the reservation policy of Govt. of Punjab/UT Chandigarh. 
Important Dates: The JET 2014 entrance exam will be held on 20th April 2014. The last date of applying was March 21. The exam will be conducted between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in different examination centers that are located in Punjab & Chandigarh. 
JET Exam Pattern/Syllabus
The Joint Entrance Test will be conducted through a single paper comprising of 200 questions.  These 200 questions will be equally divided into five sections, namely English, General Awareness and Aptitude, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.  
The test will have only multiple choice objective questions. The candidates can try as many questions as they want to as there is no provision of negative marking. Therefore, a good stroke of luck can also be a deciding factor.  Candidates will be required to answer on a pre-printed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet. 
Eligibility Criteria: For the uninitiated, only candidates those who have passed matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry) and English as main subjects are eligible for taking the examination. PSBTEIT recognizes all state boards and central boards such as CBSE/ICSE and National Open School.
Examination Result Date: As of now, the board hasn’t announced the exact examination result date.
