16 April, 2013, New Delhi (NCR): An earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale shook Delhi and neighboring areas this Monday afternoon at 4.20 pm. Terrified people came out of their homes and offices after the quake lasted several seconds.
The quake was of high intensity and tremors were even felt in Pakistan. The epicenter is supposed to be near Iran-Pakistan border region.
Tremors were felt across in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana too.
People rushed out of their homes and offices for safety. No casualties were reported in Delhi so far.
