The students are given the privilege of choosing the date and the centre from this 20 day schedule, according to their convenience and the place, which suits them the best.

In fact this time, the students need to be more prepared and practised, as like the last year, this time also the tests are online based and the students are required to be more concentrated and efficient in their problem solving skills. According to experts, it really gets tough for the students to take their examination over net, because, the students are not used to taking exam on computer. The calculation part of the problems is really tough to be evaluated on the computer. Constant reading and analysing of the questions on computer system is not an easy thing to do. Therefore the students, other than practising sample tests on the paper, are also suggested to do a thorough practise of the sample papers on net. There are many e- papers, which can be downloaded from net and students can polish their analysing and problem solving skills by practising the papers online.

Knowledge, practise and confidence, are the key factors, which if the students have, then he can surely move ahead towards clearing the CAT and securing their seat in one of the most renowned MBA colleges of the country.

Bell The CAT [Common Aptitude Test]

For a student who aspires to pursue MBA from a reputed college clearing CAT exam can be a real nightmare, it sure isn’t a cake walk in order to land up in a reputed college in India or abroad for your management degree scoring well in CAT is important as most of the universities take CAT score into account, but one should not fear it its not a monster, hence here are a few tips that can help you crack you CAT exam:

  1. First of all don’t let it hover your brain so much, don’t think of it as an impossible task lots of students do it every year so can you, ease yourself of the psychological pressure.
  2. Don’t take it lightly, give it proper dedication and effort, set aside study time for it, just attending coaching classes wont help you have to set up personal study time daily.
  3. It is very essential to be careful of the strike rate, as a right answer is plus 1-2 marks, and a wrong answer is minus 1 mark. Hence an 85% accuracy rate is to be kept.
  4. It is practically impossible to attempt all the questions in your exam paper hence a wiser way would be to categorize questions on the basis of time and easiness, attempt those first which you know immediate answer for and are less time consuming.
  5. CAT is not just the test of your knowledge but also your ability to perform under pressure, it assesses your management skills hence choose well choose wisely.
  6. Do not be under the impression that you can clear CAT by studying for just a week or 10 days period, it needs a dedicated study approximately ranging from six months to a year for scoring a decent percentile.
  7. Choose a good coaching center to help you prepare for CAT, its not an easy job for everyone to prepare on their own, besides these coaching centers will provide you with the latest study material, mock tests, test papers, discussions, skilled tutorials, mock interviews and GDPs etc which will polish and prepare you well.

Hence, follow these points, study hard give in your 100% and you shall see CAT will be very easy to crack. Preparing for CAT doesn’t mean that all you need to do is study through out the year, strike a balance enjoy other activities but set aside a focused study hour as well. Good luck!

Choosing IIMs For MBA

-->
IIM is the most desired college for MBA aspirants in today’s date. It happens to be one of the top most B school in India, and not only in India but also at global level IIM is highly reputed. It is the best A grade college in India for those who wish to pursue management courses. Even in the current situation when recession has hit hard and there is economic crises IIM is successfully giving its students placements in worlds finest MNCs and PSUs.
Ask any MBA aspirant what’s his aim or Dream College for his PGDM/MBA and the immediate reply will be – IIM India. In today’s date it has a total of 7 branches all over India the first being IIM Ahmadabad (IIM-A) which is the most highly reputed one and was established in the year 1962 by Dr. vikram sarabhai and few of the best industrialists of that period. The reason for the establishment of IIM-A was the study of the prominent factors that affected India and its people like – health, economy, agriculture, population, education, transportation etc. hence there were total of 7 IIM in India till date which are as follow -
IIM Ahmadabad (Gujarat) IIM Lukcnow (Uttar Pradesh IIM Kolkata (west Bengal) IIM shillong (Meghalaya) IIM Bangalore (Karnataka) IIM Kozhikode (Kerala) IIM Indore (Madhya Pradesh)
Though the point to be noticed here is that getting admission into IIM is not at all an easy job, there are various levels of tests, interviews and requirements which one needs to pass before securing a seat into any one of the following IIMs. The basic requirement is to be a minimum of three year graduate with 50% marks through out and 45% for SC/ST. after which one needs to score a good percentile in their CAT score to be eligible to be called for interview in IIM, once this is done the candidate is thoroughly examined and tested by the staff and administration i.e. the interview panel against various benchmarks where the candidate needs to go through different rounds of tests and interviews. Once this is cleared and a candidate passes them all the candidate is selected as a student in IIM.
It sure isn’t a easy process but if one has the determination and effort that it takes to get into IIM then one can surely grab a seat in it. In fact there is a large amount of information on IIM on online forums, education sites, magazines etc incase one needs further information on this subject.
